It simulates a hair follicle. This technique reduces the contrast between skin and hair color by introducing bio-resorbable micro-pigments into the superficial layer of the dermis.
Scalp pigmentation means that patients no longer have to worry about their appearance in all circumstances (swimming pool, wind…) and can dispense with camouflage powder for everyday life.
The result is not permanent. Depending on their living conditions, patients return for a touch-up every 8 to 12 months. Prolonged exposure to the sun and swimming pool use may necessitate a touch-up after the summer.
The advantage of this temporary treatment is that it can be stopped if the hair turns white.
Tricopigmentation can be used as a complement to hair transplants, for better results in the case of patients who do not have a large enough donor area.
It can also be used to camouflage scars.
