The active ingredient, carbamide peroxide (whitener) activated by a source of cold light in the blue spectrum, removes stains and yellowing caused by age and the consumption of coloured food or tobacco. Your teeth will become visibly whiter after a single 20 minute treatment session.
This method provides rapid results that are also more effective than the more traditional methods available to the public. Evidently the results will depend on the actual condition of your teeth and the causes of any discolouration.
This method is totally safe and will have absolutely no negative impact on the integrity of your teeth and gums.
The teeth whitening process simply removed stains using a proven method that has been used for many years in a number of countries. The formula of the products used complies strictly with the European Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety’s safety criteria
Any adult patient with healthy but stained teeth can use this lighting treatment. It is recommended that you consult your dentist before undergoing the treatment, especially if you have sensitive teeth, an oral infection, gum disease, defective dental repair work, gingivitis, excessively loose teeth or any other periodontal condition.
The treatment is not suitable for people with false teeth (bridges, multiple crowns) on which it will have no effect. Even if there is no specific contraindication for teeth whitening treatment, we recommend that pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers, people suffering from cancer or undergoing chemotherapy treatment avoid the treatment by precaution.
The more the teeth have a homogeneous colour the more the results will be successful. A single treatment session can achieve a final 4 to 20 colour shades lighter. Yellowed teeth can be whitened more easily than greyed teeth and therefore can achieve a whiter colour after treatment. Discolouration caused by taking antibiotics (tetracycline) or a physical impact react to the whitening process with more difficulty.
The treatment is entirely safe and painless. The proposed method uses a formula which has been specially developed to protect teeth and gums. In certain cases the treatment can cause a temporary sensitiveness in the teeth and gums (feeling of heat or slight tingling).
This sensitiveness can vary from person to person and is caused by the disinfecting effect of the active ingredient contained in the gel. In all cases any discomfort will be slight and temporary; it will disappear totally within a few hours.
Some small white stains or a feeling of sensitivity may appear but these will only be temporary and will disappear within 12 to 24 hours. If necessary, mouthwash or brushing the teeth with a fluoride tooth-paste (for sensitive teeth) may calm these effects.
